Introducing New Artist Print PDF

Cathy Mills

Cathy is a local artist exhibiting at Ruskin Mill from 21 April to 12 noon on 3 May.

The gallery is open mon to Sat 10 to 5 except for 3 to 5 on Sunday 29th for the Private View tea party. (All welcome)

Cathy’s recent work involves drawing and stone lithography. She has been playing with colour, line and form through lithography, drawing and collage. Cathy will be displaying some of the stones used in the lithographic process.

Cathy previously has created several environmental sculpture pieces and is inspired by nature and the forms in nature. The environmental piece, ‘Face’ is also shown here as a series of large photographs showing the sculpture cast in different natural materials in several sites.

Cathy’s work shows us her love of play with the materials she is working with.

Cathy also teaches drawing to children and is a long time practitioner and teacher of Chi Gung (a Chinese physical practice, closely related to Tai Chi)
