Sarah Loveday
Winds of Change Gallery
9th - 15th May 2010 Winchcombe
SARAH LOVEDAY trained at the Courtauld Institute and worked in the art trade & art publishing for many years. About fifteen years ago, she took practical courses in art at the Slade School, London and the Cheltenham College of Art and started to exhibit in Gloucestershire.
She now paints mainly in oils, landscape subjects. She is fortunate in finding images easily: in the beautiful Cotswold surroundings in which she lives and on her frequent travels. Of her drawings she has written: [they] are done very much ‘sur le motif’: an immediate impression. I like to draw figures, people moving, expressing themselves in their body language – in a café, at work.
