Gilded small profile
Suitable for small oils on board, this is a 1 inch swept moulding, a beaded sight edge and convex face. Layers of gesso are applied then coated with a coloured bole to leave a smooth surface to which the gold leaf is applied. The gold can be distressed to match the period of the painting.
