Keele University 50th Anniversary Commission
The commission is for an outdoor sculpture that would be the centrepiece of the Union Square redevelopment.
Union Square is the focal point of university life for students, staff, local residents and visitors.
The closing date for the submission of design concepts is 5 January 2012.

BBC2 Art Series - Show Me The Monet
Open to all amateur and professional artists. As before, a Hanging Committee of three art experts is looking for great art to put into their prestigious exhibition in London where members of the public together with the great and the good of the art world can view and buy the work that is on display.
Entries may only be submitted from Monday 12 December and only the first 3000 applications will be accepted.
Deadline for entries is 8 January 2012 (if 3000 applications have not been received by that date).

Wildlife Artist of the year 2012
Open to all amateur and professional artists aged 17 or over. Top prize £10,000 with a runners-up prize of £1000 and a personal art workshop with David Shepherd. Seven categories to suit all artistic styles and mediums.
Deadline for entries is 21 January 2012.

Jerwood Painting Fellowships 2013
Three Fellowships will be awarded with each Fellow receiving a bursary of £10,000 and one year of critical and professional development support from mentors. This programme of support will be designed to suit the needs of each Fellow. During the Fellowship year each artist will work towards a body of new work, which will be exhibited in a group show as part of the JVA programme at Jerwood Space, London in March 2013, before touring within the UK.
Entry is by online application, artists must be resident in the UK and within five years of graduating or practising professionally.

The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize
The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize is a competition designed to encourage creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtmanship. It is open to all UK artists over the age of 18.
